Hi Everyone!
Iโve been teaching fitness classes since 1999, mainly in the Rotherham/Sheffield area, but also in Barnsley and Doncaster. With a current repertoire of teaching Pilates and Yoga classes, as well as the likes of Spin and also Les Mills BODYCOMBATโข and BODYPUMPโข classes (the latter two I still teach, at JD Gym, Rotherham, as well as Yoga), Iโve pretty much taught it all over the years, except ZUMBAยฎ (although I have taught a one-off โLatin Dance Aerobicsโ class, which was quite the spectacle to behold! I will leave that to your imaginations and say no more!).
I was also a Personal Trainer, after which I worked as a Fitness Manager for 5 years, for Fitness First Health Clubs, progressing to the Regional Fitness Manager position, within the company. I also owned and ran my own fitness studio back in 2013/2014.
Pilates and Yoga are a โjourneyโ. For improvements to be made, I try to educate my classes that these may take time, but with persistence, amazing things can be achieved. For the differences between them both, do see elsewhere on this site, under 'Class Descriptions'.
I have taught PILATES since 2014, at various venues, including my own Fitness Studio, which I ran for a couple of years, in Rotherham. I also spent 5 years working as a Tutor for a nationally recognised fitness training provider, delivering Level 3 Pilates courses around the UK, for future instructors (as well as the Level 2 โExercise To Musicโ qualification, which is viewed by the industry as the โfoundation qualificationโ for all Group Fitness Instructors).
I teach the โJoseph Pilatesโ, original method, of PILATES and this includes educating my participants and giving valuable technique correction. All levels are catered for, but my classes are ideal for beginners or those with a variety of minor-intermediate issues (contact me if you are not sure!).
I qualified as a Yoga Teacher in 2017 and since 2018, I have been teaching around 9 Yoga classes per week, so have built up quite a varied repertoire.
My YOGA classes follow the โHathaโ method of practice and are generally less spiritual than many Yoga classes. However, there is always a โmindโ aspect to them, with various relaxation techniques included. Again, all levels are welcome to my classes (including beginners).
Amazing goals can be achieved, by doing either Pilates or Yoga โ or both!
Any questions โ do message me and I will do my best to answer you. I look forward to welcoming you to one of my classes soon!
Tim
